About Xingfu Mansion
Xu Prince Consort's Mansion is located at No. 4 Dongfu Cheng, Putao Lane, Zhongshan Road, Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. It is the residence of Xu Jue, the son-in-law of Song Yingzong and the great-grandson of Xu Shen, one of the Eight Sages of Chaozhou. It was first built in the Zhiping Period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1064~1067). Xu Prince Consort's Mansion faces south and covers an area of about 2,450 square meters. It has 55 living rooms, 11 patios, four wells and two fire lanes. The main building of Xu's Prince Consort's Mansion has three entrances and five bays. Together with the two fire alleys, two servant houses and the back package, it forms an architectural pattern similar to the "horse trailer". It retains the original layout and architectural style of the Song Dynasty.
