About Dawn Pavilion
Shuguang Pavilion, formerly known as Wenguang Pavilion, is located at the back and tail of Lion Peak in Beihai Scenic Area of Huangshan Mountain, opposite Beihai Hotel, next to Sanhuawu, and facing Shixin Peak across a ravine. The pavilion is made of cement and stone, with four pillars and four corners, covering an area of about 10 square meters. It is beautiful in shape, small and exquisite. Because you can watch the sunrise and dawn here, it was renamed "Shuguang Pavilion". There is a poem today: "When you wake up, the lion's tail is raised to the sky, and the pine tops emerge from the four corners of the small pavilion. Before dawn, the crowds surge, and the dawn shines in front of you." As one of the typical ancient buildings in Huangshan District, it, together with Cuiwei Temple, Ciguang Pavilion, etc., constitutes the Huangshan Ancient Building Group.
