About White Goose Ridge

Baieling is located at the easternmost end of the Beihai Scenic Area of Huangshan Scenic Area, between Baieling Peak and Gongyang Mountain. It is the watershed between the East China Sea and the North Sea. Its geology is dominated by medium-fine-grained porphyritic granite. This area is an important transportation hub in Back Mountain. The upper station of Yungu Cableway is located at the head of Baieling Mountain, connecting Yungu Temple to core scenic spots such as Beihai and Tianhai. There are "four hundred steps" of stone steps on the cliffs in the south of the mountain leading directly to Yungu Temple, and in the north of the mountain is the edge of the platform made of fine-grained granite. The surrounding landscape is famous for its combination of pine and stone.
