About Ancient village by the lake
The Lakeside Ancient Village is a sub-project of the Xin'an River Extension Comprehensive Development Project. It is located in the central area of the Xin'an River waterfront landscape belt in Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was completed in June 2011. The village integrates Huizhou's traditional architectural features and modern tourism functions, covering 26 new buildings and 14 old residential buildings that have been relocated and protected, with a total construction area of 11,000 square meters, and business types include hotels, restaurants, etc. The project is based on the implementation of the "Hundred Villages and Thousand Buildings" ancient residential protection project, connecting the urban area of Huangshan City to the Huashan Mysterious Grottoes Scenic Area through water and land transportation, and improving regional flood control capabilities.
