About Fly Over Rock
Feilaishi is a natural landscape located in Pingtianxi, Huangshan Scenic Area, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is formed by the weathering of medium-fine-grained porphyritic granite. It is 12 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. The base platform at the bottom is about 12 to 15 meters long and weighs about 360 tons. Its name comes from the extremely small contact surface between the two rocks, which looks like a rock flying from the sky. The geological evolution process of this wonder began with the intrusion of granite during the replenishment period of the Huangshan rock mass. It was cut by northeast and northwest vertical joints and northwest horizontal joints to form a cuboid prototype. It was finally isolated on the platform due to uplift, weathering and denudation and gravity collapse.
