About Lingfeng Exploring Plum Blossoms
Lingfeng Plum Blossom Exploration is a plum blossom viewing resort in the Hangzhou Botanical Garden in Xihu District, Hangzhou City. It is located in Qingzhiwu, Lingfeng Valley. Its history can be traced back to Lingfeng Temple during the Kaiyun period of the Later Jin Dynasty. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, Lianxi, the capital of Zhejiang Province, rebuilt Lingfeng Temple and planted more than 100 plum trees. In the first year of Xuantong, Zhou Mengpo planted 300 more plum trees to form a plum viewing resort, hence the name "Lingfeng Exploring Plum Blossoms". After being abandoned during the Republic of China, it was rebuilt into a plum garden covering an area of more than 400 acres in 1988. There are existing monuments such as Cuiwei Pavilion, Mianyun Hall, Miao Gaotai, Juyue Spring, Xibo Pond, and new buildings such as Congyue Tower.
