About Shilin Village

Shilin Village is a village under the jurisdiction of Dalan Town, Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the hinterland of Siming Mountain in the southeastern part of the town. It is 5 kilometers away from the town government, 45 kilometers away from Yuyao City, and 90 kilometers away from Ningbo City. It has an area of 6.05 square kilometers, a registered population of 583, and a subtropical monsoon climate. The village was built in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. The ancestors of the Shen family moved here to form a bloodline village with a single surname. It was named after the rich production of "diaohong" persimmons. It is an alpine platform landform with an average altitude of 550 meters and a forest coverage rate of 81.1%. It is home to Danshan Chishui Scenic Area (national 4A-level scenic spot).
