About Shu Ren Tang
Shuren Hall is located in the Hongcun Scenic Area of Yixian County, Anhui Province. It was built in the first year of Tongzhi (1862) in the Qing Dynasty by Wang Xingju, the official of the imperial court who was awarded the imperial edict of the Qing Dynasty. The hexagonal shape of the homestead means "Liuhe Dashun", and its name comes from the educational philosophy of "everything requires excellence, and children and grandchildren should be taught". The building faces south and covers an area of 266 square meters. It has a splayed gatehouse and built-in cantilevered railings. The main hall and side halls are backed by Shuizhen. The ceiling is painted and decorated, and the living water and small fish pond on the east side of the hall form a unique water feature.
