About black rock city
Blackstone City is located in Zhusang Township, Yajiang County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located in Gaoersi Mountain, with an altitude of about 4,412 meters and about 4 kilometers away from National Highway 318. Its name comes from the black stones scattered on the ridge, which look like ruins of a city from a distance. Black Rock City is located in the northwest of Gongga Mountain. It is one of the places to watch the sunset of Gongga Mountain and the Yala Snow Mountain. It is also a place to take pictures of the starry sky. It is said that this place may be a religious holy place, and the black sutra stones on the mountain were built by practicing lamas; there are also reports that it is the remains of a fortress left by tribal conquests 300 years ago.
