About Himalayan tower
Gaobiao is a military building used for defense by ancient tribes and villages. It is called "Qiong cage" in Chinese historical records. They are mainly distributed in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and other places in Sichuan Province, especially in Danba County, which is the most densely populated and is known as the "Country of Thousands of Towers". According to the building materials, they can be divided into stone blockhouses and earth blockhouses. They have various shapes such as four corners, hexagons, octagons and even triangles. The height is usually between 20 and 50 meters. The appearance is square cone-shaped with a wide bottom and a narrow top. The history of Gaofu can be traced back to the Qin and Han Dynasties, and became popular in western Sichuan and eastern Tibet during the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
