About Lake Muge Nature Reserve
Kangding Love Song (Mugecuo) Scenic Area, also known as Kangding Love Song Scenic Area, is located in Beiyala Township, Kangding City, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located in the middle of Gongga Mountain, 17 kilometers away from the urban area. It is the birthplace of "Kangding Love Song". The scenic area has a total area of 350 square kilometers and an altitude of 2600-3780 meters. It consists of six scenic spots: Dujuan Gorge, Fangcaoping, Seven Color Sea, Yaochi Boquan, Mugecuo (Savage Sea) and Red Sea Grassland. It is famous for its plateau lakes, virgin forests, hot springs, snow peaks, Qianpu Gorge and the surrounding diverse alpine lakes and hot springs. The water area of Mugecuo (Barbarian Sea) in the scenic area is 4 square kilometers, with a water depth of more than 70 meters.
