About Shijiayuan
Shijiayuan is located to the north of Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area in Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. It is the core tourist section of Wulingyuan World Natural Heritage and a national 5A-level scenic spot. The scenic area is dominated by the quartz sandstone peak forest landform (Zhangjiajie landform). Quartz sandstone such as Melaleuca Rock and Double Oar Peak have been weathered and cut to form a landscape of strange peaks. It is especially famous for the geological wonders such as the Warrior Taming Horse Stone Pillar Group and Yubi Peak in the Shentang Bay Valley. The scenic area retains historical relics such as the Ming Dynasty Shangtianzi Temple ruins, the Qing Dynasty stone buffalo and Liu Shuanghuan's poem stele, integrating the cultural imprint of the Tujia people. Helong Park has a bronze statue and a national defense education exhibition area.
