About Sheng's Flower Hall
Sheng's Flower Hall is located at Nos. 1 and 5, Yujia Lane, South Zhenming Road, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It is a deep courtyard with blue bricks and gray tiles. The brocade-framed gate faces west, with a screen wall in front. An elegant and exquisite building can be seen when entering. It is a Qing Dynasty building and was announced as a Haishu district-level cultural relics protection unit in December 1981. The building was originally the "Jinxing Building" built by Lin Ting'ao, a scholar in the Tongzhi and Guangxu years of the Qing Dynasty. Because of its cornices and corners, it looks like a giant ship from a distance, so it is also called "Standing Boat". The later residence was owned by Sheng Bingwei, an academician in the Qing Dynasty. The flower hall was used as his study room and was commonly known as "Sheng's Flower Hall". It is now a place for cultural exchanges.
