About San Tian Men

Santianmen is a stone gate building in Yuanfu Wanning Palace in Maoshan Scenic Area, Jurong City, Jiangsu Province. It is located on the Wanshou Platform behind the Ling Palace and in front of the Laozi Statue, with an altitude of 372.5 meters. The building was first built during the Qiandao period of Emperor Xiaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty (1165-1173). It was originally the place where the "Jinlu Daochang" worship seals were displayed. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the "Three Heavenly Gate" banners were added. In 2025, it was selected into the ninth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in Jiangsu Province. It was repaired many times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The stone square is 6 meters high and 2 meters wide.
