About Wu's Ancestral Temple
Located next to the bamboo island on the east bank of Yuehu Lake in Haishu District, Ningbo, the branch temple has two front and back entrances. The main buildings on the original central axis are the foyer (destroyed), the hall, the stage (destroyed) and the main hall. The entrance hall is a modern building from the Republic of China period, with gables imitating the Guanyin pocket style, a hard-gabled roof, five-bay square columns, and a rolling canopy outside the eaves. The outer end of the second-floor floor is surrounded by a wooden railing, and the top of the floor is decorated with curly grass patterns. The main hall is as wide as the hall. It adopts a traditional palace-style wooden structure. The bucket style and the beam-lifting style are used together. The materials are huge.
