About Baidi
Bai Causeway, also known as Baisha Causeway, is located on the West Lake in Xihu Street, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is an east-west long causeway on the West Lake. It was lost when it was first built. Baidi starts from Broken Bridge in the east, ends at Pinghu Qiuyue in the west, and crosses the West Lake. In the Tang Dynasty, it was called Baishadi. It was called Gushan Road in the Northern Song Dynasty, but it existed but was not cured in the Yuan Dynasty. At the beginning of the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty (1506~1521), the prefect Yang Mengying restored the old view. It was rebuilt in the 17th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1589), and was also known as Shijin Pond (also known as Shijing Pond). Since then, it has been repaired and maintained in successive dynasties, forming the current scale.
