About Yu Qian's Tomb
Yu Qian’s Tomb is located at No. 161 Santaishan Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was built in the third year of Tomorrow Shun (1459). It is the tomb of Yu Qian, a politician, military strategist and national hero of the Ming Dynasty. Yu Qian's tomb sits in the west and faces east, backed by green mountains and facing the West Lake. The tomb and temple are integrated into one. The current cemetery is horseshoe-shaped, 23 meters from north to south and 30 meters from east to west, covering an area of more than 600 square meters, with natural forests as a barrier. The cemetery was originally a family area, with seven tombs arranged for Yu Qian, his father, mother, and wife, with Yu Qian's tomb in the middle. There are two pairs of stone figures, stone horses, stone tigers, stone sheep and stone dogs on both sides of the tomb passage.
