About Tianyige Library
Tianyi Pavilion is located at No. 10 Tianyi Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It was built in the 40th to 45th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1561-1566). It covers an area of 26,000 square meters. It was originally the library of Fan Qin, the right minister of the Ministry of War of the Ming Dynasty. Tianyi Pavilion takes the meaning of "the sky creates water, and the earth makes up the sixty percent". It faces north and faces south. It is a two-story brick and wood structure with a hard top and a double building with a height of 8.5 meters. It has a sloped roof and is covered with green tiles. The first floor has six rooms each wide and deep. The second floor, except for the stairwell, is one large room separated by bookcases. In front of the pavilion, there is a "Tianyi Pond" connected to the Yue Lake.
