About The door with the word "福"
Fuzi Mentou is located at No. 7, Jinjiajing Lane, Cicheng Town, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It was originally part of the residence of Feng Shuji, the chief envoy of Huguang during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The building is named after the large "福" character written in the middle of the screen wall of the second gate (Ertai Gate). The overall building consists of the main gate, the second gate (destroyed), the screen wall, the second courtyard door, the front hall, the front and rear entrances, five lanes, and the left and right wing rooms. The building area is 1,086 square meters, and the area is 1,089 square meters. The front hall is five bays and has the architectural characteristics of the Ming Dynasty. Fuzimentou is an integral part of the Cicheng ancient building complex and was listed in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2006.
