About Yongan Palace
Yong'an Palace is the former site of Emperor Zhaolie of the Shu Han Dynasty, Liu Bei Tuogu. It was originally Liu Bei's palace in Baidi City. In the second year of Zhangwu (222), Liu Bei led an army of 200,000 people to the east to avenge Guan Yu. He was attacked by Soochow general Lu Xunhuo for 800 miles. After being defeated, he still defended Yufu. The county was renamed Yong'an and the camp was also named Yong'an Palace. In the spring of the third year of Zhangwu (223 years), Liu Bei was ill and entrusted himself to Prime Minister Zhuge Liang and Shangshu Ling Li Yan. The ruins of Yong'an Palace still exist from the Tang Dynasty. Su Shi of the Song Dynasty wrote in a poem: "The mausoleums and valleys have changed throughout the ages, but the Forbidden City has survived." During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, the Xianzhu Temple and other temples were built.
