About Chongqing Yunyang Longgang National Geopark
Chongqing Yunyang Longgang National Geological Park, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national geological park, was named “Best Tourist Destination for Service” during the 2016 National Day holiday. Travelers call it the last “Shangri-La” of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, while outdoor enthusiasts praise it as Chongqing’s version of “Little Hua Shan.” Located in the southeastern corner of Yunyang County, Chongqing, Longgang Scenic Area is adjacent to Lichuan City in Hubei Province. It combines karst sinkholes, canyons, cave systems, high-altitude grasslands, forests, and the unique cultural traditions of the Tujia people. Major attractions include Longgang Sinkhole, the Cloud-Top Corridor Bridge, the scenery of Longdong Cave, Longgu Gorge, Qishan Grassland, Cai Cao Ancient Great Wall, the ancient Qiyang Pass Trail ruins, and Gaixia Ba Lake.
