About Hankuimen

Hankui Gate is an iconic natural landscape in the hinterland of Zhuitang Village, Huilong Village, Xinglong Town, Fengjie County, Chongqing City. It consists of two cliffs with a vertical height of more than 600 meters, forming a natural stone gate about 400 meters wide. It is recognized by the geological community as the largest "mountain gate" in the world and has typical karst landform characteristics. Its formation is closely related to crustal movement. It is named because the valley is dry all year round. It has a similar geological form to Kuimen in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, forming a geographical structure of "Yin and Yang". In the Maze River area, ancient salt and saltpetre boiling sites were discovered. The 3-kilometer Maze River adventure route includes landscapes such as the underground geyser "Cannon Spring" and a 40-meter-high waterfall.
