About Wang Guowei's Former Residence
Wang Guowei's former residence is located at No. 4, Jian'an Road, southwest corner of Yanguan Town, Haining City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is an ancient architectural site from the Qing Dynasty. Wang Guowei's former residence was built in the twelfth year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1886). It faces south and is a wooden courtyard-style residential building with two entrances, a bungalow in the front and a building in the back. There is a patio and a wing between the two entrances. It covers an area of more than 700 square meters and a construction area of nearly 370 square meters. In the twelfth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1886), Wang Guowei's father Wang Naiyu moved his family here from Shuangren Lane in the city and named it "Yulu". Wang Guowei called it the "Old House in West City".
