About A palace
Mingfang Palace, formerly known as Shenwu Hall, is now the site of the Japanese Shenwu Hall in Changchun City. It is located in Peony Garden, Changchun City, Jilin Province, adjacent to Renmin Street in the east and East Zhonghua Road in the north. The building was built during the Manchukuo period and completed in 1940. It adopts traditional Japanese architectural style and features a black terracotta roof, white walls and granite base. The main body is a reinforced concrete structure with a total construction area of 5,245 square meters. It was originally a place where Japanese people practiced martial arts and worshiped Emperor Jimmu. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the building was used as the auditorium of the Air Force Aviation School.
