About Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins
The ruins of Liangzhu Ancient City are located on Fengdu Road, Pingyao Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the mountainous hills of western Zhejiang and the Hangjiahu Plain. The terrain is higher in the west and lower in the east. Both the south and north are branches of the Tianmu Mountains. Dongtiao River and Liangzhu Port flow eastward from the north and south sides of the city respectively. The two natural hills of Fengshan and Pheasant Mountain are used in the southwest and northeast corners of the city wall respectively. The Liangzhu Ancient City ruins consist of the Liangzhu Ancient City core area, water conservancy system, altar cemetery and peripheral suburbs. It covers a total area of 100 square kilometers and is extremely large in scale. Among them, the core area of Liangzhu Ancient City covers an area of 8 million square meters.
