About Quanzhou City Art Gallery

Quanzhou Art Museum is a public welfare mass cultural institution established by the Quanzhou Municipal Government. The museum is responsible for organizing mass cultural activities, conducting public welfare art training and exhibitions, and protecting Southern Fujian culture and intangible cultural heritage. It currently has three brands: "One Museum, Two Centers". Its predecessor was the Jinjiang District Mass Art Museum established in March 1960. It was renamed twice in 1986 and 1995. In 2010, the brands of "Quanzhou Minnan Cultural Ecological Protection Center" and "Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center" were added. The museum has been rated as a national "First-Class Cultural Center" and has been recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage representative project protection unit many times in 2019 and 2021.
