About Gulangyu Organ Museum
Gulangyu Organ Museum is located in Bagua Tower, Gulangyu Island. It is the only organ museum in China and the largest in the world. The museum began preparations for construction in November 2004, and some exhibits were previewed on February 1, 2005. It currently has a collection of more than 60 organs, electronic organs and other treasures. The core exhibits include the pipe organ made by the British company Norman & Beard in 1909 (including 1,350 sound pipes and three-layer keyboard) and the giant pipe organ "Cathvent" that is 13 meters high and weighs 35 tons. The new museum was designed by the American KLP Architectural Design Company. It adopts a sunken architectural structure and a Gothic-like main exhibition hall. The main hall's transparent glass curtain wall design allows you to view the exhibits outside the embassy. The address of the museum is No.
