About Foshan Science Museum

Foshan Science Museum was built in 1985. In order to better disseminate natural science knowledge and allow the public to get closer to and understand science, the Foshan Municipal Government allocated funds to rebuild the Science Museum in August 2001. The Science Museum was officially opened to the public on March 19, 2003. The renovated Science Museum aims to promote the spirit of science, popularize scientific knowledge, and disseminate scientific ideas and methods. It is an important window for popular science education to the general public and has become a place for education and entertainment. In 2003, Foshan Science Museum was rated as the Youth Science Education Base of Guangdong Province.
