About Memorial Hall of Zheng Chenggong
Xiamen Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall was built in 1962 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the great national hero Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan. The Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall is located in the Sunlight Rock Scenic Area. On February 1, 1962, the ribbon was cut and opened on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan. Zheng Chenggong was a famous national hero in our country in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. He recovered Taiwan, which had been occupied by the Dutch invaders for 38 years. The people of Taiwan respected him as the "Sage King who founded Taiwan". The memorial hall is the largest collection center and research base of Zheng Chenggong's cultural relics at home and abroad, and there are still ruins such as Zhaimen and Shuicaotai.
