About 100 Years of Gulangyu Museum
The Centennial Gulangyu Museum is a museum located at No. 62 Fujian Road, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The museum takes the humanistic history of Gulangyu Island as its theme and is located in the former site of the Overseas Chinese Bank Villa a century ago. It exhibits items used by foreigners from fifteen countries on the island to present the changes over time and restore the living environment a hundred years ago. There are a total of 18 exhibition halls in the museum. In 1902, Gulangyu Island became a public concession, and many countries established consulates and other institutions on the island. The museum is open year-round from 09:00-18:00.
