About Hotan Museum
Hotan Regional Museum is located at No. 8 Kunlun Road, Hotan City, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It has a total construction area of more than 13,493 square meters and a total of 3 floors. It is a local comprehensive museum. In April 2001, the construction of the new Hotan Regional Museum officially started. The museum has a collection of 9,553 cultural relics, including 559 precious cultural relics. According to information from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in 2022, there are currently 20,553 pieces/sets in the collection, with 83,000 visitors. In December 2020, the museum was rated as a national third-level museum. In August 2024, it was recognized as a national second-level museum.
