About Tu Youyou Museum
Tu Youyou's Former Residence Exhibition Hall is located in Yao Zhai, No. 26 Kaiming Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It is a modern residential style building in the Republic of China in Ningbo, with an exhibition area of 837 square meters. On May 1, 2021, the renovated Yao Zhai opened as an exhibition hall for Tu Youyou's former residence on a trial basis; on December 22, the former residence and exhibition hall of Tu Youyou, China's first Nobel Prize winner in medicine and pharmacologist, was officially unveiled in the Lianqiao Street Historical and Cultural District. The exhibition hall is open from 9:00 to 16:30 every Tuesday to Sunday, with an instant reception limit of 100 people. There is an artemisinin-themed cultural and creative coffee in the museum. The museum was formerly the residence of Tu Youyou's maternal grandfather Yao Yongbai and uncle Yao Qingsan.
