About East Zhejiang Maritime Folk Museum
The East Zhejiang Maritime Folk Museum is located in the Qing'an Guild Hall at No. 156 Jiangbei Road, Jiangdong District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of about 10,000 square meters and a building area of 8,000 square meters. It is a social science folk custom museum. Its predecessor was the Qing'an Guild Hall donated by Beiyang shipping merchants in the 30th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1850). It is not only a palace to worship Mazu, but also a gathering place for industry. It was officially built in December 2001. The building is a model of modern wooden structure in Ningbo. It has a rare shape of a palace and pavilion combined with double stages at the front and rear.
