About Zhou Yao Insect Museum
Zhou Yao Insect Museum was established in 1996 by the people of the hometown on the bank of Dongqian Lake in Ningbo City in order to praise Yin County and borrow the lofty spirit of patriotism and science from Professor Zhou Yao, a famous entomologist in my country, and to encourage people, especially the young generation, to forge ahead and actively contribute to the motherland. It is the largest insect museum in Asia named after an individual's surname. It is introduced in Chinese, English and Esperanto, and displays the outstanding achievements of China's biological research from an individual perspective. The entire museum covers an area of more than 8,000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 1,500 square meters. On July 28, 2022, the new Zhouyao Insect Museum in Yinzhou District, Ningbo moved to Yinzhou Park.
