About Shenyang Palace

Zhang Xueliang's former residence, also known as Zhang's Marshal's Mansion, Dashuai's Mansion or Shaoshuai's Mansion, is located at No. 46, Shaoshuai's Mansion, Chaoyang Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It is the official residence and private residence of Zhang Zuolin and his eldest son Zhang Xueliang. It covers a total area of 36,000 square meters and has a total construction area of 27,600 square meters. Zhang Xueliang's former residence was built in September of the third year of the Republic of China (1914). Zhang Zuolin officially moved in in the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), and it was continuously expanded thereafter. Each architectural style is different, including traditional Chinese style, Chinese and Western style, Roman style, Nordic style, and Japanese style.
