About Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology
Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology is located at the southwest end of Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. It was officially opened on September 8, 2019. It will be rated as a national first-class museum in May 2024, covering an area of 50 acres and a construction area of 25,000 square meters. The museum was established on the initiative of Professor Fang Wen. It is the first art history museum in China designed and built in accordance with the American Association of Museums cultural relics protection standards. The building adopts a minimalist style, with gray and red as the main colors. The exhibition hall is located on the first floor and has no steps. The entire museum is divided into a museum area and an academic area.
