About Grand Canal Museum
Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum is located at No. 1, Canal Culture Plaza, No. 34 Jinhua Road, Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of 27,000 square meters, with a construction area of 10,700 square meters and an exhibition area of 5,500 square meters. It is affiliated to the Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication Bureau of Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a social science canal-themed museum. In 2002, preparations began to build the Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum. In August 2004, the main building of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in Hangzhou was completed. On October 1, 2006, the Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum was completed and opened to the public.
