About China Wetland Museum
China Wetland Museum is located in the southeast of Xixi National Wetland Park in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a national-level museum with a wetland theme approved by the former State Forestry Administration. It was officially opened to the public in November 2009 and is a national second-level museum. The museum building was designed by Arata Isozaki and uses the image of "green hill" to blend into the surrounding environment. It has a construction area of 20,200 square meters. The observation tower is nearly 40 meters high and overlooks the panoramic view of the wetland. The original exhibition area is 7,800 square meters. After renovation in 2024, the exhibition hall will be expanded to 8,500 square meters, including the Wetland Hall, the Wetland Vientiane Hall, the Only Xixi Hall, and the Wetland Cave Immersive Digital Exhibition Hall.
