About Datong Art Museum
Datong Art Museum is affiliated to the Datong Culture and Tourism Bureau. It was established in January 2021 and officially opened to the public on September 1 of the same year. It is located at No. 508 Taihe Road, Pingcheng District, Datong City, Shanxi Province. The museum was jointly planned and designed by Foster + Partners of the United Kingdom and the China Architectural Design Institute. The main body of the building is connected by multiple triangular cones of varying heights to form a unique pyramid-like geometric shape. There are six large exhibition halls inside, with a total exhibition area of approximately 16,000 square meters.
