About China Yangzhou Buddhist Culture Museum

China Yangzhou Buddhist Culture Museum is located at No. 3 Fengle Shang Street, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a special museum established in 2008 by integrating Tianning Temple and Chongning Temple. Both temples are cultural relics protection units in Jiangsu Province. Covering an area of about 33,600 square meters, with a total construction area of 14,980 square meters, the twin temples are connected from north to south along a 500-meter central axis. The building complex is known as the "Little Forbidden City" due to its large scale. Tianning Temple is one of the heritage sites of China's Grand Canal, a world cultural heritage site. The museum is open free of charge all year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00-17:00, and is closed on Mondays. Tianning Temple was first built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
