About Jiangkou Cliff Tomb
The Jiangkou Cliff Tombs, located on the east bank of the Minjiang River 4.5 kilometers northeast of Pengshan District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, are a large, densely distributed, and well-preserved ancient tombs from the Han Dynasty. Jiangkou cliff tombs are centered on Meihua Village, Jiangkou Street. They are dug into the mountains and densely distributed. There are 4,580 cliff tombs in a zone that is 10 kilometers long from north to south and 3 kilometers wide from east to west. The general protection area covers an area of 30.4 square kilometers, including seven heavily protected areas: Changshan Geng Cliff Tombs Group, Gaojiagou Cliff Tombs Group, Yanjinggou Cliff Tombs Group, Douyafanggou Cliff Tombs Group, Dayugou Cliff Tombs Group, Zhaizi Mountain Cliff Tombs Group, and Youfanggou Cliff Tombs Group.
