Jiang Zemin's former residence, located at No. 16 Dongquanmen, Guangling District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is the residence where Comrade Jiang Zemin, former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, former Chairman of the People's Republic of China, and former Chairman of the Central Military Commission, rented with his family during his childhood and adolescence (1929-1940). Jiang Zemin's former residence covers an area of 1,449 square meters. It has a brick and wood structure, blue bricks and black tiles. It has a regular layout, simple and elegant style. It is a traditional Sanheyuan residence in Yangzhou. The former residence is divided into two courtyards, east and west. The West Road courtyard is where Comrade Jiang Zemin rented and lived with his family during his childhood and adolescence.
