About Shanxi Railway Construction Museum
The Shanxi Railway Construction Museum is located at No. 22, Jiaochang Lane, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Its building is a Japanese-style garden house built during the Republic of China. Historically, it was an "engineer building" built for Chinese and foreign engineering and technical personnel who built the Shanxi Railway. Relying on this historical building, the museum has three themed exhibitions: "Railway Engineer Building", "Black Gold Arteries in Gunsmoke" and "Old Railway Shadows". Through scene restoration, historical pictures and objects, it shows the early railway construction and development process of Shanxi, represented by the Zhengtai Railway and Tongpu Railway. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:00, and no reservation is required to visit.
