About The Coal Museum of China 53
The Coal Museum of China, or China Coal Museum for short, is located at No. 2, Yingze West Street, Wanbolin District, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It is affiliated to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Coal Industry. It is the only national coal industry museum approved by the State Council. It is a collection center for historical relics, specimens, documents, and materials of the national coal industry. It is a popular science education and cultural exchange institution for the national coal industry. It is a national research and dissemination institution on the history of coal development, coal technology, comprehensive utilization of coal resources, mining environmental protection history, coal culture, and coal spirit. The initiative to build the China Coal Museum began with the instructions of Gao Yangwen, the former minister of the Ministry of Coal Industry.
