About Xihe Park

Xihe Park is located 150 meters south of Jinniushan Park in Gulou District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is adjacent to Jinniushan Park to the north and the flood control embankment to the east and is adjacent to Fuzhou University. The park was formerly known as the Xihe Swimming Pool. It was rebuilt in 1986 by farmers from Hongshan Township and opened to the public in 1988. It is distributed in a crescent shape along the river, with a total length of 1,800 meters. In the southern area, there is an island in the center of the river formed by alluvial quicksand. The park is divided into three areas: north, middle and south, with three entrances. A 2.5-meter-wide stone driveway runs through the north and south areas, including a safe swimming area, a children's playground, and a patch of banana forest and other vegetation landscapes.
