About Taiyuan Zoo

Taiyuan Zoo, a national AAAA tourist attraction, was founded in December 1957. The Wohu Mountain Park reconstruction project was launched in May 2003 and officially opened on April 29, 2004. It is located in the northeast corner of Taiyuan. The area on Wohu Mountain, south of Beijian River, north of Xiangtang New Village, east of Beitongpu Railway, and west of East Central Ring North Road, covers a total area of 2032.2 acres, with a construction area of 84,000 square meters and a total green landscape of 702,000 square meters. It is the second largest city zoo in North China.
