About Kaifeng Fu 、Kaifeng Palace 10

Kaifeng Fu (Kaifeng Palace), located on the eastern shore of Lake Baogong in Kaifeng City, Henan Province, covers an area of more than 60 mu. It served as a crucial administrative institution for managing the capital and the surrounding metropolitan region during the Northern Song Dynasty, earning the reputation as “the first capital under heaven” and becoming a cultural tourism destination centered around Song Dynasty culture. Kaifeng Fu is also known as the Southern Office; it was originally established in the first year of Kai Ping during the Five Dynasties period (907 AD). However, due to war damage and flooding by the Yellow River, the original Kaifeng Fu no longer exists today. The current Kaifeng Fu is a cultural tourism area built based on the former Kaifeng Fu government office from the Song Dynasty, officially opening to the public on August 14, 2003.
