About Rongcheng Ancient Street

Rongcheng Ancient Street is located on Yingzhou Road, Taijiang District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is connected to Taijiang Road to the south and Wuyi South Road to the north. It is more than 300 meters long and 18 meters wide. It is an antique commercial pedestrian street in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The streets adopt elements such as upturned magpie-tail eaves, glazed tiles, and hanging bells, forming an architectural landscape with Fuzhou's local characteristics. The street was formerly Linjiang Shazhou during the Republic of China. In 1990, the People's Government of Taijiang District implemented the reconstruction of the wooden house area and built 72 three-story concrete antique shops. On March 1, 1991, the first phase of the project was completed and fully opened. The street is the first antique commercial street in Fujian Province.
