About Jiutuma Residential House
Jiutuma Residential House is located on the north side of Jiutuma Park in the northeast of Futing Natural Village, Qiyang Village, Heshang Town, Changle District, Fuzhou, Fujian Province. The first one was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, and most of them were built in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850). It got its name because nine rocks as abrupt as horses were included in the building. The nine-headed horse residential building complex faces south and is basically square in plan, 120 meters wide from east to west and 120 meters deep from north to south, divided into five rows. There are 22 main buildings, surrounded by 6-meter-high walls, with more than ten door openings, watchtowers and gun holes. The five rows are separated by firewalls and corridors, and are connected by frame doors. There is a gate in the middle of the south side of each row.
