About lotus pond
Hehuadang is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It is located in Taji Town, Jinhu County, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. It has a total area of 22.4 square kilometers and is adjacent to Gaoyou Lake. With thousands of acres of lotus fields and Hudang wetland ecological landscape as the core, it has formed dozens of scenic spots such as He Expo Garden, Shao Leisure Park, and Lotus Chanting Stele Gallery. The history of the scenic spot can be traced back to the Song Dynasty, when literati such as Su Dongpo and Qin Shaoyou once went boating and wrote poems. Relics such as the inscription archway of Xi'an Temple are now extant, and folk stories such as the legend of the Lotus Fairy are passed down. The local lotus root has been cultivated for more than two thousand years, and an industrial system integrating planting, processing and tourism has been developed.
